USAS Presidium Introduction

UBC Student Association of Sinology is Here!

UBC Student Association of Sinology (USAS), UBC 漢學社 in Chinese, is here to provide a media platform for encouraging and discussing research in Chinese culture and various forms of creative writing. Within the diverse community at UBC, USAS hopes to attract students of different backgrounds and promote a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.

One of our major programs is the “USAS Ezine” scheduled for a weekly publication. Please consider subscribing and connecting with us on WeChat. You are also welcome to contribute to our Ezine through any literary form. We hope that under our efforts and your support, USAS will expand to greater potential and gain more influence in the future by having our own cultural brand.

Additionally, many of us already witnessed the success of our first Undergraduate Conference of Chinese Studies (UCCS) in 2020. Our presenters at UCCS 2020 left a significant mark in the research field of Chinese literature. Based on this success, USAS will plan and organize the second UCCS (in-person) in 2022. We will keep everyone updated on information related to the conference, and we encourage everyone to register!

Now allow us, the core team members, to introduce ourselves ~
